My Goal
Notes:
Research Paper
Introduction, at least 3 questions and paragraphs, conclusion
Each paragraph had a topic sentence, facts/evidence, and closing sentence
Paper was focused on a big guiding question and taught the reader about the subject
Paper was 1 page in length or more

Poster Board
Highlighted big ideas and facts from research paper but not all.
Eye catching with color and visual elements that were focused on the topic.
Creatively displayed facts, visuals, about the topic.
Easy to understand:                                              not too many pieces nor too empty!

Hands-on Display
Audience is engaged and participates
Audience learns more about topic
Topic is clearly illustrated through project
Audience has fun

Conventions and Presentation
Capitals and End Punctuation-no mistakes
Sources properly cited
Writing is typed or clearly written and large enough to read
Captures attention through creativity and careful attention to details

Perseverance and Determination
Student asked for help when stuck from teacher and/or peers.
Student tried new ideas and advice
Student worked to make their project the best it could be
Student worked hard but had fun
