Responding to Tiger Rising

Students continue to practice taking notes while reading. We are listening to and reading by ourselves chapters from The Tiger Rising to help model and build this practice. Good readers stop and think while reading. They think about larger messages, themes, symbolism and chraacter development. We can use notes on connections, questions, important parts, and inferences to help us find these big ideas in our texts.
